on behalf of Board in time-critical decisions

to the Executive Director for advice and consultation in implementing
board decisions
- Makes
recommendations for board action
- Sets
board meeting agenda
- Monitors
adherence to By-Laws
- Serves
as personnel committee in regards to the Executive Director
- Monitors
risk management issues relevant to all aspects of the ministry
- Resource
Development Committee
- Provides
leadership in developing and implementing strategies for raising
the financial resources needed to meet the current and future
needs of the ministry.
- Forms
Task Force Committees for fundraising events.
- Provides
leadership in garnering support from strategic members of
the church and community.
- Board
Development and Nominating Committee
- Leads
the board in developing a strategic process for recruiting
and orienting new board members.
- Takes
the lead in implementing the recruiting and orienting process.
- Provides
leadership in board development resources and leads the board
in its self-evaluation process.
- Finance
Committee
- Provides
leadership in maintaining the financial accountability of
the ministry by:
- Developing
and implementing an annual budget building process that
leads to a proposed budget recommendation for the board's
approval.
- Monitoring
the budget and providing monthly financial reports to
the Board.
- Developing
and monitoring administrative and banking practices that
ensure proper handling of financial assets.
- Ensuring
an annual independent audit.
- Providing
leadership in investment policies, practices and management
of capital and reserve funds.
