Dear Donna,
On behalf of St. John
Vianney Parish, we would like to extend our thanks and praise for
the Sunday celebrations. We have been honored to host 3 Christmas
parties, one picnic, and one St. Patrick’s theme afternoon
and our community has embraced your ministry with open arms.
We have literally scores
of parishioners who volunteer. They can choose so many ways to serve,
be it cooking, setting up the party, hosting, serving food, or cleaning
up. One year, families brought pumpkin pies; another year Irish
Soda bread. It is particularly gratifying to cooperate with Inglemoor
High School’s Honor Society as one of their official chapter
functions.
We always feel strongly
supported by your staff who go the extra mile to be sure that we
are all comfortable with our roles. Mary Galvin offers the youth
some tips on meeting the needs of the folks who attend. This opportunity
to serve an under served and little appreciated segment of the population
is a real gift to our parish. We highly recommend it to everyone!
