Qualifications

  • Actively integrates Christian principles in daily living and exhibits an ecumenical spirit. Regularly worships in a Christian church.
  • Possesses spiritual, mental and emotional maturity; strong moral character; sensitivity to and tolerance of differing views.
  • Exhibits a spirit of compassion and inclusion for persons who are marginalized, particularly persons with disabilities.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and is able to keep confidences.
  • Respected and connected in the communities he/she is a part of, including faith community.
  • Demonstrates ability to: listen, analyze, think clearly and creatively, able to state personal perspectives and opinions on issues, able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Committed to the values of Bridge and passionate about its mission. Willing to be an ambassador on behalf of Bridge.
  • Willing to give significantly in time, talent and resources to make Bridge Ministries a priority during the term of service.
  • Willing to educate self and develop skills to increase effectiveness as a Board member.
  • Free of personal, financial or business conflicts of interest that could compromise the mission or integrity of Bridge.
  • Willing to complete a Board application, three reference checks and a DSHS Background Check for the state of Washington.
